Editor Lana A. Whited is currently seeking proposals for original contributions to a second volume of essays called The Ivory Tower and Harry Potter, intended to cover the Harry Potter series and all related works by J.K. Rowling. In 2002, The Ivory Tower and Harry Po0er became the first collection of literary criticism devoted to the series, which was then halfway through publication. Goblet of Fire was published during the manuscript’s preparation (8 July 2000), and a few contributors incorporated it into their essays. Like the original collection, volume II will also be offered in cooperation with the University of Missouri Press.

All topics pertaining to Rowling’s works about the Wizarding world are welcome. Essays based on Rowling’s non-wizarding works will be considered only if topics incorporate discussion of the Harry Potter novels. Proposals should indicate how topics relate to existing scholarship. Send proposals of up to 500 words along with a brief biography highlighting education and other relevant publications (one paragraph) to This email address is being protected from spambots.
